it’s time to adapt housing for climate resilience and ecological regeneration.

we believe that vernacular architecture – like the swiss chalet or the moroccan kasbah – most effectively adapts to local ecology. so we have developed, based on our experience designing single-family residences, a series of modhouse designs (modular, modifiable, modern, and mode-shifting).

our “new vernacular” offers accumulated insight from clients and collaborators, integrated technology, and simple plans for starter homes, remote getaways, laneway houses, and additions. we are accepting limited orders for construction documents and prefab assistance in 2022.
